PHILADELPHIA- Freshmen Ifetayo Tyler and Jordan Bryan each added ECAC Division I South Rookie of the Week honors after their strong debuts last weekend at the Jack Pryah Invitational.
 
Bryan finished first and second in his two events over the weekend in Haverford, Pa. The Broomall, Pa native won the men's high jump with a winning jump of 6'4'' which was two inches clear of his nearest competitor. He added a second place finish in the men's long jump with a distance of 22'7'' which was a full eight inches better than the third place finisher.
 
Tyler lost by a nose in the women's 800 meters race. The Tyack, N.Y. native ran a 2:21.57 in the 800m which was the exact time of the winner and a photo finish decided the race.
 
Both Tyler and Bryan as well as the rest of the Explorers will return to action following the New Year when they head to New York for the UAlbany Great Dane Classic on January 16.
