Explorers at a Glance
• Sunday's game will count in the Big 5 standings. La Salle is looking to go 3-1 in the City Series for the second straight year. It would mark the best two-year Big 5 record at 6-2 since the 1988-89 and 1989-90 teams went 7-1. Villanova has locked up the Big 5 championship with a 4-0 record.
Â
• This will be the first meeting at Hagan Arena since March 6, 2010 and just the second on SJU's campus since 1992. This season will be the first time that both meetings were played on campus and this will be just the third game on either school's campus since La Salle joined the A-10 in 1995-96.

Scouting the Hawks
Saint Joseph's enters Saturday's matchup with the Explorers coming off a 76-71 loss at George Washington on Wednesday evening. They were winners in their previous six contests, and were victorious in 12 of their previous 14, before the loss. They enter with an overall record of 21-8 and are second in the A-10 with a conference mark of 11-4.
Â
Saint Joseph's backcourt is led by Preseason All-Conference Second Team selection Langston Galloway. He ranks fifth in the conference in scoring average (16.6 points/game), while averaging just a shade under that (16.1 points/game) in conference play. He is especially potent from three-point range. Galloway ranks first in the conference this season averaging 3.0 three-point makes per game and ranks second in A-10 play averaging 2.7 makes from beyond the arc.
Â
Freshman swingman DeAndre' Bembry joins Galloway as a dynamic presence on the outside. He is 17
th in scoring in conference play, averaging 13.3 points/game in A-10 play. The Explorers will look to limit his impact in this one, as he scored 16 points and swiped three steals in the matchup earlier this season.
Â
Preseason All-Conference Second Team selection Ronald Roberts Jr. has been a force all season long for the Hawks. He ranks 13
th in the conference in scoring, averaging 14.6 points/game this season. The senior forward rarely misses when he gets his hands on the rock, ranking 3
rd in the conference in shooting percentage (59.5% FG). He ranks 10
th in the conference in rebounding, collecting 7.2 boards per contest. He also is a defensive presence in the low block, ranking 9
th in the conference in blocks, averaging 1.3 blocks/game.
Â
Halil Kanacevic joins Roberts in the frontcourt to form a powerful combo in the low post. He has enjoyed a strong season, averaging just shy of a double-double with 10.4 points/game and 8.1 rebounds/game. He also adds 4.5 assists/game, the 4
th best mark in the conference this season. Kanacevic's play has risen to another level since the conference season has begun. He is averaging 11.7 points/game and ranks 6
th in conference play, averaging 7.9 rebounds/game. The Explorers will look to get Kanacevic in foul trouble early, as he has fouled out in the last two contests.
Â
Up Next
The Explorers will look to get hot, as they will travel to Brooklyn for the A-10 Tournament.
