Baseball Travels to Bronx for Three Game Series at Fordham


PHILAELPHIA – The La Salle baseball will continue to roll through its Atlantic 10 schedule this weekend when it visits Fordham for a three game series. The Rams enter the weekend sixth in the A-10 with a 9-9 conference mark while the Explorers come in 6-10, good for ninth. In their three meetings last season, La Salle swept away the Rams at Hank DeVincent Field.

  • Justin Korenblatt leads the club in hitting (.342), good for 10th in the conference. He ranks second in the A-10 in triples (5) and is tied for fifth in hits (53). His 16 multi-hit games is tops on the Explorers.

  • Tom Fazzini has appeared in 23 games on out of the pen, tied for most in the conference.
  • Adam Cherry is tied for third in the A-10 with five saves. In 15 A-10 innings, Cherry has fanned 12 and walked one while allowing no runs and just two hits. Opponents are hitting just .041 against him in those games.

  • Fordham enters the weekend 11th in the A-10 hitting (.250), seventh in ERA (4.86), and 11th in fielding (.953).
