BRONX, N.Y. – Fordham defeated the La Salle baseball team, 13-0, on Saturday afternoon at Houlihan Park. George Smith Jr (3-4) and Dan Callahan (2-3) each notched multi-hit days for the Explorers.

The Rams scored five runs in the third and three more in the fifth to open up an 8-0 lead. La Salle starter Joey Ravert took the loss, dropping to 1-4 on the season. The sophomore was charged with six earned runs in four innings while striking out five and walking two.

Brett Kennedy improved to 5-6 on the year for the Rams (21-23, 11-9 A-10), throwing seven scoreless innings behind 10 strikeouts and no walks.

The Explorers (11-30, 6-12 A-10) will hand Shawn O'Neill the ball on Sunday to right the ship. He will be opposed by Tim Swatek with first pitch set for noon.
