Ken Slough

General | September 25, 2014

PHILADELPHIA - Ken Slough, a former equipment manager for the Philadelphia Eagles and most recently Western Oregon University, has been named the Athletic Services Manager at La Salle. He takes over for Brendan Armstrong, who assumed Director of Campus Recreation duties this summer.

Slough returns to the Philadelphia area after a one-year stint at Western Oregon, where he serviced as Athletic Equipment Coordinator for the school's 11 varsity sports. In addition to managing inventory, he assisted with set-up and take-down of all athletic events and managed the coaches communication system for football.

He was with the Eagles from 2001 to 2013 as an assistant equipment manager for the NFL program. He oversaw distribution, maintenance and inventory control of playing equipment and uniforms, and also supervised the equipment move for 150 coaches and players for training camp to Lehigh University. On game days, Slough assisted with locker room and halftime setup and breakdown as well as set up of players and coaches meals. Slough represented the Eagles organization at equipment manager conferences to discuss safety products and evaluate new clothing, shoes and gloves. While with the Eagles, Slough was instrumental in streamlining distribution and storage plans and helped assist in the move from Veterans' Stadium to Lincoln Financial Field. He also assisted with several international soccer team summer tours at the Linc.

Prior to the Eagles, Slough spent time as the home clubhouse manager (1996-98) and Director of Clubhouse Operations (2000-01) with the Rochester Redwings. He served as the main contact point with the Baltimore Orioles player personnel office while servicing the equipment operations. While with the Redwings, he served as the home clubhouse manager for the Governor's Cup team in 1997 and the Triple-A All-Star Game in 2000, in addition to assisting with the Rochester Rhinos USL team, Team USA and several international teams at exhibition games.

Slough earned his bachelors degree in Sports Management from Belmont Abbey College in 1992. He has also taken post-baccalaureate courses at Penn and Duke.
