BURLINGTON, Vt.- The La Salle men's soccer team fell to UMass Lowell 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at Virtue Field in the finale of the Windjammer Classic. Freshman Johnny Ciarlante was named to the All-Tournament team after scoring in Friday's loss to Vermont.

The Explorers fired a season-high 16 shots but couldn't get past keeper Austin Kroll, who recorded seven saves on the afternoon.

UMass Lowell (2-2) struck twice in the opening half, finding the back of the net in the 11^th minute and again in the 21^st minute. The River Hawks, who defeated St. Francis on Friday, were crowned tournament champions based on goal differential after Vermont also won both of their games.

The Explorers (0-3) will host Temple on Saturday, September 13 for their home opener at McCarthy Stadium at 1 PM.
