Men's Swimming and Diving | January 31, 2015
PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle men's swimming and diving team lost a hard-fought dual meet to the Penn Quakers 160.5-131.5 on Saturday afternoon at Kirk Pool.
Freshman
Fabian Bergman won all three individual events he swam to earn 27 point towards the La Salle total. The Stockholm, Sweden native reached the wall in 50.79 to win the 100-yard backstroke, won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:52.25, and clocked a 1:55.67 to win the 200-yard IM.
The Explorers took the top three spots in the 1-meter dive, led by
CJ Gimpel's score of 283.95.
Dylan Yurasits turned in a score of 283.43 to place 2
nd while
Chase Ott earned 203.85 to finish 3
rd. Yurasits won the 3-meter dive with a 282.90 while Gimpel took 2
nd with 258.68.
La Salle recognized seniors

Taylor Jeronis,
Sean McCaffrey and
Stefan Sharpe prior to the meet.
The Explorers will now turn their focus to the Atlantic 10 Championships at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio from February 18-21.
