PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men's soccer team is back in action this week as they host the VCU Rams at McCarthy Stadium on Wednesday before visiting the Dayton Flyers on Saturday.
 
Scouting the Explorers
- The Explorers are coming off a 3-0 win over St. Bonaventure on Saturday, marking their highest offensive output of the season.
 
-Senior Andrew Connors was named Philadelphia Soccer 6 Player of the Week while freshman Cameron Keys earned Rookie of the Week honors, it was announced Monday. Connors netted three goals last week while Keys tallied a shutout with four saves against St. Bonnies on Saturday.
 
-La Salle is tied with Fordham for a league-best five shutouts this season.
 
-Mike Liska assisted two goals against SBU, and now leads the league with five assists.
 
-Sophomore midfielder Ryan Nork scored his first career goal in the win over St. Bonnies, finding the back of the net in the 49^th minute to give La Salle a 2-0 lead.
 
-The Explorers are 2-2 at McCarthy Stadium and 3-5-1 on the road.

Scouting the Rams
-After drawing George Mason 1-1 to open A-10 play on October 3, VCU has defeated St. Bonaventure 2-0 and Davidson 1-0.
 
-VCU has given up just two goals in the last 1,000 minutes of Atlantic 10 action for a goals against average of 0.18.
 
-The Rams are third in the Atlantic 10 in shutouts with four this season.

Scouting the Flyers
-Dayton defeated Saint Louis 3-2 last Wednesday in overtime, scoring in the 93^rd minute to move to 2-0 in the A-10. Dayton's game versus Saint Joseph's scheduled for this past Saturday was postponed due to SJU's travel issues.
 
- Senior Amass Amankona continues to lead the offense with six goals and three assists to total 15 points. Fellow senior Maik Schoonderwoerd has four goals and a team-high four assists.
 
- The Flyers are averaging 2.17 goals per game and holding opponents to 1.25 goals each contest.
 
-The Flyers have lost just once in the last six games.
 
-UD is 3-0-1 at Baujan Field in 2015.
