NEWPORT NEWS, Va.- La Salle freshman Taylor Hite has been named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the week as announced by the conference on Tuesday.
 
The Hamburg, N.Y. native finished with 68 assists over the two matches on the week, averaging 9.71 assists per set. She also added ten digs and two blocks while aiding the offensive effort with five kills and a .211 hitting percentage. The setter finished with 45 assists in a tight four set loss to George Mason on Sunday. The 45 assists was the most she has had in a conference match this season.
 
Hite and the Explorers return to action on Tuesday as they travel to UMES to close out their nonconference schedule with first serve slated for 6 p.m. They return to conference action this weekend as they head to VCU and Davidson on Friday and Sunday respectively.
