AMHERST, Mass. - Massachusetts scored three minutes into the game and never looked back in handing La Salle a 5-0 defeat on Friday afternoon at the Gladchuck Sports Complex. Junior goalkeeper Rachel Hartman had six saves for the Explorers.

Cliodhina Loughlin scored at the 3:20 mark and the Minutewomen added four more goals before halftime to take a 5-0 lead.

UMass (8-8, 4-3 A-10) outshot the Explorers 16-9 and the teams each had five penalty corners. 

Kendall Kreider had four shots to pace La Salle. 

The Blue and Gold (7-8, 3-4 A-10) remain on the road to visit Bryant on Sunday at 11 AM.
