PITTSBURGH, Pa.- The La Salle volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (28-30, 25-27, 14-25) decision at Duquesne on Saturday evening. Sophomore
Bryanna Davis lead the match with 15 kills and a .423 hitting percentage on the day.
The first set was tight throughout as neither team was able to separate themselves from the other. There were 11 ties during the frame. La Salle held a 23-20 lead in the set but the host Dukes were able to rally back and even things up. Ultimately a kill from Lacey Levers gave the hosts the first set 30-28.
The second set was just as tight as the first frame. Despite falling being 12-4 early the Explorers rallied back with seven straight points and neither team was able to create much separation for the remainder of the set. The hosts were able to fight off a set point for the Explorers and ultimately took the frame 27-25.
Duquesne was able to keep the momentum going after the break and took set three 25-14 to close out the match 3-0.
Davis finished with a double-double thanks to her 15 kills and 11 digs on the night. Junior
Ashley Felton finished with nine kills of her own while hitting .562 on the evening with no errors on 16 swings. Freshman
Madison Kuch finished with seven kills on the night.

Jensen Sharrits finished with 16 digs.
La Salle continues it road swing with matches at Rhode Island and Fordham on Friday and Saturday next weekend.
