NEWPORT NEWS, Va.- La Salle sophomore
Dylan Yurasits has been named Atlantic 10 Men's Swimming and Diving Performer of the week as announced by the conference on Tuesday.

Yurasits earned the honor following his performance in a Tri-Meet hosted by La Salle over the weekend. The North Wales, Pa. native qualified for the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships thanks to his score of 307.20 in the Tri-Meet, which was enough to win the one-meter diving event. The minimum requirement to qualify for the championships was a score of 300 in the event.

The sophomore was able to win the event by 14.2 points over the second place finisher helping the Explorers go 1-1 in the team scores on the day. Yurasits competed in the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships last season as a freshman where he finished in 28
th place with a score of 247.45 in the one-meter event.

Yurasits and the rest of the Explorers will return to action on Friday as they head to George Mason for a 5 p.m. meet.Â
