Men's Swimming and Diving | November 12, 2015
PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle swimming and diving team heads to George Mason on Friday to take on the Patriots starting at 5 p.m.

Both the men and women are coming off a Tri-Meet last weekend that saw both teams split the matchups and go 1-1 against Delaware and Rider.

On the men's side, sophomore
Dylan Yurasits is coming off a performance that earned him Atlantic 10 Men's Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week. Yurasits qualified for the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships for the second consecutive season. The North Wales, Pa. native scored a 307.20, meeting the 300 point requirement in the 1 meter event to qualify for the championship. This score was also the top score in the A-10 this season. CJ Gimpel owns the second best score with a 293.00 also scored against Rider and Delaware.

Senior
Johan Roth owns the top time in the 100 breaststroke in the A-10 this season thanks to a 57.82 time he recorded against Delaware and Rider which was good for first place in the event. Roth also has the second fastest 200 breaststroke time in the conference with a 2:06.45 recorded in the A-10 Quad Meet.

Sophomore
Jakub Bartosiewicz owns the second fastest time in two events in the Atlantic 10 this season. The Poland native swam the 100 butterfly in 50.37 against Drexel and the 200 butterfly in 1:51.94 also at Drexel.

Junior
Mattias Glenesk recorded a 16:26.30 time in the 1650 freestyle at the A-10 Quad meet which is the second fastest time in the event this season. Glenesk also owns the third fastest time in the 1000 freestyle thanks to his 9:40.41 against Drexel.

Sophomore
Fabian Bergman owns the fourth fastest time in the conference in three different events this season. At the Atlantic 10 Quad-Meet Bergman swam a 24.19 in the 50 back and a 1:52.87 in the 200 back. While at Drexe. Bergman recorded a time of 50.84 in the 100 backstroke.

The Explorer men enter the weekend ranked 48
th in the CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major Ranking. The Mason men are slightly above them in 34
th place.
Freshman Olivia Distefano enters the weekend with top five times in the Atlantic 10 in a trio of events. The Philadelphia native owns the second fastest time in the league in the 50 back (27.18 at Drexel) and the 100 backstroke (57.60 at A-10 Quad-Meet). Distefano also recorded a 52.79 in the 100 freestyle at the A-10 Quad-Meet which is the fifth fastest time in the conference this season.

Sophomore Emma Smith has been a force in the distance freestyle events this season. Smith owns the fastest time in the 1000 freestyle thanks to a 10:25.38 she swam against Delaware and Rider last weekend. At the A-10 Quad-Meet, Smith swam a 5:02.53 in the 500 freestyle and a 17:27.63 in the 1650 freestyle which are the second fastest times in each event so far this year in the conference.

On the boards, sophomore Sydney Szoko owns the fifth best total in the one meter event thanks to a 241.65 she compiled at Drexel. Also at Drexel, senior Kelly Quinn scored a 239.48 in the three meter event which is the fourth highest total by an A-10 diver this season.

Both the men and women will return to action as they head to Bucknell from November 20-22 for the Bucknell Invitational.Â
