Kelly Quinn swept the diving events and sophomore
Emma Smith grabbed a pair of victories of her own but the La Salle women's swimming and diving team fell 149-94 at George Mason on Friday evening.

Quinn started the day off by winning the three meter diving event with a total of 270.15. Teammate sophomore
Sydney Szopo was second with a score of 252.60. Quinn returned to take the top spot in the one meter event with a score of 260.93, 16.05 points ahead of the second place diver. Szopo finished in third with a total of 229.88.

Smith started the day off by winning the 1000 yard freestyle race with a time of 10:22.83 a full 14.1 seconds ahead of the second place swimmer. Smith also took the top spot in the 500 yard freestyle race with a time of 5:03.41 which bested the field by 4.45 seconds. The sophomore also swam in the 200 yard IM finishing in third place with a time of 2:13.16.

Junior Kate Hay turned in two second place finishes on the evening. First in the 200 yard freestyle she swam a time of 1:56.95 which was just 2.77 seconds off the pace. She returned in the 100 yard freestyle race to swim a 53.17 which was just .84 seconds off of the pace.

Olivia DiStefano finished in second place in the 50 yard freestyle race with a time of 24.73.

La Salle returns to the pool next weekend as they head to Buknell for the Bucknell Invitational beginning next Friday.
