LEWISBURG, Pa.- The La Salle men's swimming and diving team closed out the Bucknell Imitational, finishing in fifth place overall during the three day event. Three Explorers finished the day with top-five finishes.

Two Explorers reached the 200 yard backstroke A Finals with sophomore
Fabian Bergman turning in a fourth place finish. Bergman touched in 1:48.81. Teammate junior
Jerry Gravel touched in seventh place with a time of 1:50.14 to earn 23 points towards the team score.

Freshman
Aleksandar Nikolic finished in tenth place in the 100 yard freestyle race. Nikolic touched in 46.62 which was the second fastest time in the B Finals, just .56 seconds behind the top time in the B Finals. Senior
Jonathan Cabral also reached the finals, finishing in 19
th place with a time of 47.18.

Johan Roth finished in fourth place earning 26 points for the team in the 200 yard breaststroke. Roth touched in 2:00.74, just 1.31 seconds behind the race winner. Junior Strahin Stankovic also reached the finals finishing in tenth place. Stankovic was the second swimmer to touch in the B Finals with a time of 2:04.01, just .03 seconds behind the winner.

Sophomore
Jakub Bartosiewicz tied for fifth place in the 200 yard butterfly thanks to a time of 1:51.79 to earn 24.5 points towards the team score.

Sophomore
Dylan Yurasits was the final diver to qualify for the three meter diving finals on Sunday finishing in eighth place in the prelims. In the finals, Yurasits finished with a score of 303.70 for sixth place and 24 team points. Senior
CJ Gimpel finished in 11
th with a score of 246.85 in the prelims and sophomore
Chase Ott also dove finishing in 23
rd with a score of 166.95.

The La Salle 400 yard freestyle relay team finished in fifth place thanks to a time of 3:06.67. The team of Stankovic, Cabral, Roth, and Nikolic earned 40 points towards the team score.

The Explorers return to action as some will head to the Winter National Championships while the remainder of the team will head to Ithaca for the Ithaca College Bomber Invite on December, 4.Â
