PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle swimming and diving team welcomes Rider and Delaware to Kirk Pool for a Tri-Meet beginning at noon on Saturday.

The Explorer men enter after going 1-1 last weekend at an Atlantic 10 Tri-Meet hosted at the Spire Institute. La Salle bested St. Bonaventure, 187-147, while dropping a tight, 161-171, matchup to Saint Louis.

Sophomore
Fabian Bergman picked up a pair of individual victories in the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard backstroke. Junior
Mattias Glenesk had a strong showing in both the distance events winning the 1650-yard freestyle and finishing a close second in the 500-yard freestyle race. Sophomore
Dylan Yurasits had a strong day on the boards as he won the one meter event and finished second in the three meters. Sophomore
Jakub Bartosiewicz and senior
Johan Roth also picked up individual wins during the meet.

Women's sophomore Emma Smith won all three individual events she entered at the A-10 Quad-Meet helping the La Salle women go 1-2 on the day. Smith won the 1650-yard free, 500-yard free, and 200-yard IM. Freshman Olivia DiStefano picked up a first and second place finish on the day winning the 100-yard backstroke and finishing a close second in the 100-yard freestyle race.

La Salle swept the women's boards with sophomore Sydney Szopo winning the one meter while senior Kelly Quinn topping the field in the three meters. The women's team also took home a pair of second place finishes in the 400-yard medley relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay.

The Explorers return to action next Friday as they head to George Mason for a matchup against the Patriots beginning at 5 p.m. in Fairfax, Virginia.Â
