Dylan Yurasits won the three meter diving event to help the La Salle men's swimming and diving team sweep the diving events at the Ithaca College Bomber Invitational.
The Explorers finished with 952 team points over the three days at the event for a third place finish out of the 11 teams represented at the Invitational.
Yurasits finished with 493.70 points in the three meter event to top the field of 19 by 21.45 points over the nearest competitor. Senior
CJ Gimpel finished in eighth with a total of 431.75.
Earlier in the competition Gimpel topped the field of 19 in the one meter event. Gimpel had a total of 459.75 to top the field by 13.80. Yurasits finished in third with a 443.50 total.
Junior
Jerry Gravel turned in the top Explorer time in the 200 backstroke event. Gravel touched in 1:50.94 for a third place finish out of 32 entries. Senior
Michael Stein finished in tenth place with a time of 1:55.83.
Freshman Â
Aleksandar Nikolic touched with a time of 46.62 in the 100 yard freestyle race for a fourth place finish. Senior
Jonathan Cabral finished in ninth place in the 57 man field thanks to a time of 47.34.
Junior
Strahinja Stankovic was the top finisher in the 100 IM for the Explorers. He touched in 51.81 for a fourth place finish in the 29 man field. Gravel was close behind as he finished in fifth with a time of 52.94.
Stankovic returned in the 200 yard breaststroke to finish in third place in the 30 man field with a time of 2:07.33.
 The La Salle 400 yard freestyle relay team touched with a time of 3:08.79. The team of Cabral, senior
Cameron Edling, Nikolic, and freshman Jeffrey Pffanenstein finished in third place.
The Explorers return to action on January 23 as they welcome Fordham and Richmond to Kirk Pool for a Tri-Meet.
