Men's Basketball Visits Saint Louis On Sunday On NBCSN

ST. LOUIS, MO. – The La Salle men's basketball team will travel to Saint Louis for a Sunday matinee against the Billikens at 2:30 PM (Eastern)/1:30 PM (Central). The game will be televised nationally on NBC Sports Network.

Last Time Out
The La Salle men's basketball team cruised to an 87-72 win over Duquesne on Wednesday night in Tom Gola Arena. La Salle's offense churned out a season-high 87 points, paced by Jordan Price's game-high 19 points. Price and Amar Stukes each had six assists apiece. "When you combine talent with effort you can have a really special player and he [Jordan Price] wants to do that," added Coach Dr. John Giannini. "He can do really special things for this team and for himself because of that attitude that you mentioned."

Explorer Notes
• With a win today, the senior class will become the winningest class at La Salle since the Class of 1993, which won 83 games. 

• In his last six games, Jordan Price is averaging 23.7 ppg., 7.2 rpg., 2.5 apg. and 3.2 three's per game.


Jerrell Wright moved into the top 10 at La Salle in career boards with 797. Steve Zack has 751 and is in 14th.

• La Salle is currently 71 in the RPI and has a 40 strength of schedule. The SOS is third in the A-10. (ESPN.com)

Jordan Price was named the Atlantic 10 and Philadelphia Big 5 Men's Basketball Player of the Week, it was announced on Monday.  Price averaged 28.0 ppg. and 10.5 rpg. in two games for the Explorers. It is his second straight Big 5 Player of the Week award.

•  At VCU, Jordan Price recorded the first 34 points, 18 rebound, 5 assist line in Division I this season and just the fourth since 1996-97 (Blake Griffin, Michael Sweetney, Norris Cole). More notes on Price's performance on page 4. 


• La Salle is allowing just 62.3 ppg., which is the best since the 1950-51 Explorers allowed 60.9.

• La Salle is 69-4 when leading with five minutes to play since the beginning of the 2011-12 season, including winning 16 of the last 17 games.  


Scouting the Billikens
Saint Louis has dropped four in a row and eight of nine to fall to 10-16 and 2-11 in the A-10. Milik Yarbrough leads the team in scoring at 10.5 ppg. and 5.1 rpg. Ash Yacoubou, a transfer from Villanova, adds 9.3 ppg. Five of the Billikens top eight scorers are freshmen.
