Vince Perozze has been named to the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Academic All-Conference Team the conference announced on Tuesday morning.
Perozze who is working towards his MBA carries a 3.59 GPA in addition to his accolades on the track. The Collegeville, Pa. native finished second in the 3000 meter run at the A-10 Championships with a time of 8:28.85. Perozze also ran the anchor leg for the DMR team that placed third at championships with a total time of 10:03.26.
"Vince has worked extremely hard in the classroom and on the track for 5 years now," said Coach
Tom Peterson. "It is great to see that effort recognized by the Atlantic 10 Conference."
This is the second straight year that Perozze has been named Academic All-Conference during the indoor track season. Perozze also helped La Salle win the DMR race at the Yale Giegengack Invitational (10:00.51) and placed third in the 3000 meter race with a time of 8:18.00. Perozze won the men's mile at the NYC Gotham Cup thanks to a time of 4:13.16 earlier in the season.
Perozze and the rest of the Explorers will return to action next weekend as they head to New York to participate in the Stony Brook Invitational on Saturday.
