CJ Gimpel has been named to the Atlantic 10 Men's Swimming & Diving Academic All-Conference team, the conference office announced Wednesday. Gimpel was one of 10 male athletes to earn the distinction.
The Chalfont, Pa. native earned the silver medal in the 1-meter dive (269.60) at the 2015 A-10 Championships in February. Gimpel also finished 7
th in the 3-meter dive with a score of 229.05.
Gimpel was strong during the season as well, winning the 1-meter dive (288.75) against George Mason on November 15 and taking second (307.30) at the Bucknell Invitational the following week.
Gimpel will compete in the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships in Buffalo from March 9-11. The Central Bucks South graduate carries a 3.07 GPA as a biology major.
