PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle baseball team battled to a 4-4 tie with the Coppin State Eagles on Wednesday afternoon at Hank DeVincent Field.
After falling behind 4-1 in the 4
th, the Explorers got a run back in the bottom of the 4
th and tied the game at 4-4 in the 5
th before the game was called off due to weather after the 6
th inning.
Ryan Welling scored on a wild pitch to tie the game in the 5th after tripling in a run to cut the CSU lead to 4-3.
Justin Korenblatt drove in a run with a groundout in the La Salle 4th to make it a two-run game.
After Coppin State took a 1-0 lead in the top of the 1
st,
Derek Prucnal plated
Mark Williams with an infield single to tie the game in the bottom half of the opening frame.

Freddy Andujar was charged with four runs (two earned) over 3.1 innings before
Greg Krug tossed the final 2.1 innings.
The Explorers are back in action this weekend as they visit Saint Louis Billikens for a three-game series beginning on Friday.
