LEXINGTON, Ky.- The La Salle volleyball team was earned a American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award for the 2014-15 season. The Explorers were the only Atlantic 10 team to receive the honor and one of just 147 NCAA Division I women's teams to be named.
 
To be eligible the team must maintain at least a 3.30 cumulate GPA during the school year.
 
The volleyball team posted the highest GPA of any female team in season during the fall semester while recent graduate Jennifer Whelan was named Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area, Academic All-Atlantic 10, and CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team during her senior season.
