NEWPORT NEWS, Va.- La Salle freshman Jensen Sharrits has been named Atlantic 10 Co-Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.This is the second time this season Sharrits has received the honor. 
 
The Concord Township, Ohio native tallied 48 digs over the week averaging 4.00 per set. She finished with 21 digs and two service aces in a 3-2 win over UMBC, the Explorers first win over the Retrievers in past seven tries. Sharrits then recorded a match-high 15 digs and 12 digs respectively over the weekend against Saint Louis and Dayton.
 
The Explorers return to action this Saturday as they head across the state to take on Duquesne with first serve slated for 4 p.m.
