Jordan Price had 17 points, including the 1,000th of his collegiate career, and
Amar Stukes added 13. Stukes played all 40 minutes and shot 5-for-8 from the field. All five La Salle starters reached double-digits, with
Johnnie Shuler scoring 11 and
Tony Washington and
Cleon Roberts each adding 10.
All-Time SeriesThis will be the 31
st meeting between the two programs, with the series tied at 15-15. The Explorers have won three of the past four meetings.
Last Meeting With RichmondLa Salle grabbed a 64-62 win over Richmond, holding off a late run by the Spiders at Tom Gola Arena last February. La Salle's balanced attack proved too much for the Spiders down the stretch as four Explorers finished in double figures, paced by 15 points from
Jerrell Wright.
Steve Zack recorded his third double-double this season, pulling down a game-high 11 rebounds to go with 10 points.
Scouting the Explorers•
Jordan Price is currently 13th in the nation in scoring at 22.2 points per game. He is second in the Atlantic 10 behind Jack Gibbs of Davidson (23.9).
• Price was named Big 5 Co-Player of the Week on Monday after averaging 19.0 ppg., 8.5 rpg., and 5.0 apg. He scored his 1,000 career point in a win over #25 Dayton.
• Price is one of three players in the nation to average at least 22.0 ppg., 5.0 rpg., and 3.0 apg.
• La Salle had 57 possessions vs. Dayton. The slowest team in the nation is Virginia, which averages 63. The Explorers were averaging 70 possessions coming into the game.
• La Salle has now defeated a Top 25 opponent in three of the past four years (2013: Butler, @VCU, Kansas State; 2015: @VCU; 2016: Dayton). The Dayton win was the fifth ranked win in four years.

La Salle-Richmond ConnectionsRichmond head coach Chris Mooney is a Philadelphia native having attended Archbishop Ryan High School. Mooney also broke into the coaching business as head coach at Arcadia University which is just 4.3 miles north of La Salle.
Richmond Director of Basketball Operations, Steve Thomas is a graduate of Rowan University. La Salle head coach
Dr. John Giannini coached at Rowan from 1989-96 and the Explorers grabbed an 81-51 win over the Profs.
Scouting the Spiders• Richmond snapped a three game losing streak with a 93-82 win at Fordham on Sunday. The Spiders are tied with La Salle a 1-2 in A-10 play entering the matchup.
• The Spiders rank third in the Atlantic 10 as they are averaging 77.0 points per conference game so far this season. They have been efficient in their offense as well, shooting 49.7% against conference foes.
• Upperclassmen Terry Allen and ShawnDre' Jones lead the way in scoring for the Spiders. The pair is tied for 10
th in the Atlantic 10, averaging 19.0 points per game in the first three conference games of the season.
• Trey Davis has been efficiently run the offense for the Spiders. The senior has 16 assists to just three turnovers in conference play.
