PHILADELPHIA- La Salle head coach Caitlin Rimgaila announced the addition of four student athletes as part of the 2016 recruiting class. The Explorers will welcome Devin Corah, Katie Edginton, Jennifer Edwards, and Emily McCann to campus this summer.

Devin Corah (Calgary, Alberta) is a 5'10'' outside hitter who comes to La Salle from Calgary, Alberta Canada. Corah played her club for the 403 Selects out of Calgary under head coach Carsten Stanjeck. She also played for Team Alberta and was named All-Alberta. Corah is also the first international player for the Explorers going back to at least 2006.

Rimgaila on Corah:
"Devin is probably one of the best all-around athletes we have ever brought into the La Salle volleyball program. Although a tad under-sized, she's quick and high-flying and uses this to her advantage. We are excited to expand our recruiting internationally, and Devin will potentially bring a different style of volleyball to our gym, helping to make all of our players more well-rounded."

Katie Edgington (Olmsted Falls, Ohio/ Olmsted Falls H.S.) is a 6'0'' middle blocker. Edgington helped lead Olmsted Falls to the Southwestern Conference title with a 21-3 record her junior season while being selected to the Division I All-Ohio Team and honorable mention All-Star by Clevelander.com. She had 248 kills, and 118 blocks as a junior. She was named to the All-Ohio Third Team Division 1 by OHSAA as a senior after recording 212 kills with a hitting percentage of .417, 21 aces, and 103 total blocks. Edgington plays her club volleyball for Mavericks Volleyball Club under head coach Marty Marflak.

Rimgaila on Edgington:
"Katie is an extremely versatile middle, who is just as good off of one-foot as she is off of two. Katie has competed as a middle blocker at the highest levels of junior volleyball, and her fierce competitive spirit will bring a new dimension to our team. Her effervescent personality and strong work-ethic should immediately influence our players, helping to take our program to the next level."

Jennifer Edwards  (Playa del Rey, Calif./Notre Dame H.S.) is a 5'10'' outside hitter who has earned two varsity letters at Notre Dame High School. Edwards was named to the Mission League All-Academic Team two straight years and led her team in aces, kills, and hitting percentage at .387 before being injured as a senior. She helped Notre Dame qualify for the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs in both her junior and senior seasons. Edwards plays her club volleyball for Southern California Volleyball Club under head coach Cameron Green. Edwards helped qualify SCVC for Junior Nationals every year since her 7th grade season. She has one older sister Kaity who plays volleyball at University of San Diego while her mom Lisa played volleyball at UCLA and was a 2-time All-American and her dad Tom jumped the high jump at Florida.

Rimgaila on Edwards:
"Jenny is a solid all-around outside hitter, with particularly strong passing and defensive skills, which should help to immediately increase our success in those areas. Jenny comes from a long-standing volleyball background, and is therefore very knowledgeable of the game.  Her high volleyball IQ will be valuable to us at outside hitter position, and she will look to compete for playing time right away."

Emily McCann (King of Prussia, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) is a 5'9'' defensive specialist/setter who has numerous ties to La Salle. She helped lead Archbishop Carroll to a 16-3 record and the Catholic League finals as a senior when she compiled 208 kills, 40 aces, 242 digs, and 18 blocks on the season. McCann was named Daily Times Player of the Year as a senior, 2nd Team All-Delco as a junior and 1st Team All-Catholic League all four years. She plays her club volleyball for East Coast Power. Both of her parents are La Salle graduates.

Rimgaila on McCann:
"Emily has strengths in many different aspects of the game, and will help provide depth in both our setter and defensive specialist positions. Emily has excelled both academically and athletically throughout her high school career, and has also participated in several leadership roles over the past four years. We expect Emily to bring both her court knowledge and leadership ability to La Salle, and quickly become a strong presence in both our volleyball program and the wider campus community."
