PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle women's basketball team fell 66-58 to Davidson after a late charge from the Wildcats in Atlantic 10 action on Wednesday night at Tom Gola Arena.
 
Junior Jasmine Alston registered her second double-double of the season, matching her career high in assists with 11 and pouring in a season-high 13 points as the Explorers nearly pulled out the win. Alston also had a season-high six steals for the home team. 

La Salle took a lead midway through the 3rd quarter after a back and forth battle and held it until Dakota Dukes gave Davidson the lead for good on a layup with 2:07 remaining in the game. The Explorers led by as many as six early in the final quarter before the late surge from the Wildcats. 

Amy Griffin continued to provide scoring for the Explorers, finding double figures for the sixth straight game with a team-high 15 points. The sophomore also grabbed seven rebounds. 

Lisa Mintzer, who had been sidelined with injury, chipped in a career-high nine points in 22 minutes off the bench in her first game this season. The junior also pulled down a game-high eight rebounds and had three blocks. 

The Explorers are on the road for the first time in conference play on Sunday as they visit the George Mason Patriots for a 2 p.m. tip from EagleBank Arena.
