KINGSTON, R.I. - The La Salle Women's Swimming team kicked off its season on Saturday with a roadtrip to Rhode Island. The Explorers came away with four first place finishes.
Freshman
Emily Wolbert got things started for the Blue and Gold, touching the wall first in the 200 fly (2:09.55).Â
Sophomore
Olivia DiStefano picked up right where she left off from her outstanding freshman campaign, taking the top spot in the 100 free (54.21).
Sydney Szopo swept the diving events, winning the 1 meter dive with a final score of 216.75 and the 3 meter dive at 260.47. Right behind her in the first event was Dominique DiRienzio at 215.40 in second place. DiRienzio took fourth in the 3 meter dive.
The Women's Swimming Team will be in action again next Friday in the Philly Relays at Kirk Pool.
