PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle women's rowing team took part in the Navy Day Regatta, held at the Schuylkill River recently, with the lightweight four boat taking home a first-place finish to lead the way.

Jessica Lindsay, senior
Amanda Ryan, and freshmen
Logan Howlett and
Rebecca Schafer to the finish line in a time of 17:51.32. The Explorers outdistanced second-place Sacred Heart by a healthy amount, crossing with a nearly 300-meter margin.
Also competing for La Salle were the varsity four boat of junior
Emily Finkbinder, sophomore
Danielle Deley, junior
Jackie Gonzalez, and freshmen
Tara Cates and
Madison Barber, who finished in 19th place, and the varsity eight of Gosse, Lindsay, Deley, Ryan, Finkbinder, J. Gonzalez, Howlett, freshman
Carly Dowd and senior
Erika Gonzalez, who finished 23rd.
The Explorers return to action on Oct. 22-23 with the famed Head of the Charles Regatta in Cambridge, Mass.
