Devin Corah and Katie Wood of the La Salle volleyball team received All-Rookie Team nods by the Atlantic 10 conference for their performances this season, as announced Thursday.
Corah, an outsider hitter from Calgary, Canada made a big splash for the Explorers, leading the team with an average of 3.74 points per set. She also led La Salle with 39 aces and 327 kills, with an average of 3.11 kills per set.
Corah ranks fifth in the A-10 in kills per set overall and fourth in aces per set, with .37. She was named Co-Rookie of the Week (9/6), was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Jack Kaiser Classic and received Most Valuable Player of the La Salle Invitational in her first weekend in a La Salle jersey.
Wood made her debut as La Salle's primary setter, racking up 986 assists in the season in the Explorers offensive side. The Smithtown, N.Y. native finished fourth in overall season statistics for the Atlantic 10 with 9.30 assists per set.
She tallied 211 digs on the season, finishing second for the Explorers. Wood posted five double-doubles this season, notably against A-10 rivals George Mason and Davison. She finished the season with nine aces and 46 kills for La Salle.Â

Caitlin Schweihofer. "Both of them played key roles on this year's team, and helped to continue to improve our level of play in conference. I look forward to seeing how they both improve over the off-season and continue to have great collegiate careers."
The two are just the fifth and sixth Explorers to receive this honor, following teammate
Jensen Sharrits in 2015.
