All-Time Series vs Villanova

Villanova leads the series 36-9. The Explorers are looking for their first win against the Wildcats since November 14, 2008.

Scouting the Explorers
-La Salle beat Miami (OH) and UNC Wilmington in the UNC Wilmington Thanksgiving Classic over the weekend for their third straight win.

-Jasmine Alston was named Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week and Big 5 Player of the Week after recording the fourth triple-double in college basketball this season against Miami (OH) with 15 points/18 rebounds/12 assists. Alston averaged 13.0 points, 13.0 rebounds and 9.0 assists over the two games last week.

-Alston's 18 rebounds on Saturday were a career-high, and she tallied an 18:4 assist-to-turnover ratio through the two games.

-La Salle allowed just six points in the 4th quarter against UNCW, marking the fewest points allowed in a quarter by La Salle since the four-quarter format was introduced last season. The 48 points allowed to the Seahawks are a season-low through six games this year.

-Micahya Owens scored 13 points in Sunday's win and now has 1,299 career points, pushing her past both Jennifer Zenszer (1,283 points, 1997-01) and Shannon McDade (1,298 points, 1997-01) into 11th place on La Salle's all-time scoring list. The senior now needs 105 points to catch Mary Greybush (1,404 points, 1987-91).

Scouting the Wildcats
-Villanova has lost three straight, starting with a 72-69 home loss to George Washington on November 20. The Wildcats went 0-2 in the San Juan Shootout in Daytona Beach, Fla. over Thanksgiving, falling 93-85 to Troy on Thanksgiving Day and 68-66 to VCU on Friday.

-Junior guard Alex Louin leads the team in scoring through five games with 13.2 points per game. Sophomore guard Adrianna Hahn and junior center Megan Quinn, who are both averaging 10.8 points per contest, are Villanova's two other double-digit scorers.

-Louin leads in assists with 17, while Quinn is averaging a team-best 6.0 rebounds per contest.
