PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle volleyball team faced Dayton in the Tom Gola Arena on Sunday afternoon to wrap up the team's final weekend at home. The Explorers fell to the Flyers in three sets, with scores of 25-17, 25-22, 25-17.
 
The Explorers posted a cumulative five aces against the Flyers, in comparison to Dayton's three. Jenny Edwards tied her season-high of three aces in a match, while 
Catherine Edgington and 
Jensen Sharrits each contributed one.
 
Ashley Felton and 
Devin Corah contributed to La Salle's defensive side with four blocks apiece. Sharrits led the match with 17 digs and Hayley Becik followed up with 10.
 
With Corah pacing the offensive side, the outside hitter recorded nine blocks on the day, while 
Bryanna Davis and 
Madison Kuch each posted seven for La Salle. 
Kathryn Wood put up 19 assists for the Blue and Gold against the Flyers.
 
The seniors, 
Phoebe Cook and Felton, and their families were honored in a ceremony before the match to thank them for the time they have dedicated to La Salle volleyball.
 
The Explorers will play their final game of the season on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Duquesne at 4:00 PM.
