Men's Swimming and Diving | December 2, 2016
LEWISBURG, Pa. - The La Salle Men's Swimming and Diving team displayed an excellent showing on the first day of the Bucknell Invite Friday, finishing the day in first place out of eight teams with 343 points. The Explorers are nine points ahead of second place Towson.
The men faired particularly well in the relays. Their day was highlighted by a second place finish in the 400 medley relay as
Fabian Bergman, Dimitrije Mladenovic, Jakub Bartosiewicz, and
Aleksandar Nikolic finished in 3:19.84. The 200 free relay team placed third, securing 42 points for the Blue and Gold.
Marcus Forsgren, Sam Odtallah, Strahinja Stankovic, and Bartosiewicz clocked in at 1:22.86.
Stankovic, a senior, also competed in the 50 free, placing fourth (20.85 seconds).
In the 200 IM, a pair of seniors,
Cameron Fadley and
Jerry Gravel, placed third and fourth respectively. Fadley touched the wall in 1:51.11 while Gravel finished in 1:52.01.
In the three meter dive,
Dylan Yurasits,
Blake Griffith, and
Chase Ott pushed the leaderboard, placing fourth, fifth, and seventh.Â
