Last Time Out
La Salle sophomore Yevgen Sakhniuk scored a career-high 20 points in his first action since December 22 but the Explorers fell at Davidson, 79-66, on Wednesday night at Belk Arena. Sakhniuk shot 9-for-11 from the field in 23 minutes of action. "Yevgen was just amazing for someone that hasn't played in a few months," head coach Dr. John Giannini said. "It really shows that a lot of his issues early on were physical." Sakhniuk displayed his varied arsenal of low-post moves to score 14 points in the first half alone. His previous career-high was 11 points in the season opener versus Towson. Junior Jordan Price had 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the Blue and Gold. La Salle held Jack Gibbs who leads the A-10 and is third nationally to just eight points in the contest.

Scouting the Explorers
Yevgen Sakhniuk made his first appearance since December 22 on Wednesday at Davidson. He scored a career-high 20 points on 9-for-11 shooting, while playing a career-high 23 minutes. The Kiev, Ukraine native had missed the previous 12 games due to illness.

• Johnnie Shuler is ranked 14th nationally in minutes per game (37.3) and is third in the A-10. La Salle has three players in the top 16 nationally, including Cleon Roberts (37.2) and Jordan Price (37.2).

• Price has 998 points as an Explorer and needs two more to reach 1,000 as an Explorer. He would become the 55th player in program history to reach 1,000 in a La Salle uniform.

• Jordan Price leads the Big 5 in scoring and is second in the Atlantic 10 (19.5 ppg.).
• Rohan Brown is 7-for-8 from the field since returning from a knee injury on January 24 vs. Saint Joseph's.

Scouting the Hawks
• Saint Joseph's has the nation's best road record at 9-0 and is the only undefeated road team remaining in the nation.

• The Hawks have won nine of the last 10 games and have its best record through 24 games since the 2003-04 team that went undefeated in the regular season.

• Isaiah Miles scored a game-high 21 points and pulled down nine rebounds as Saint Joseph's topped George Washington, 84-66 on Wednesday. Shavar Newkirk recorded his second straight double-double in the game as well.

• DeAndre' Bembry ranks second in the A-10 recording 5.3 assists per conference contest. He also ranks 13th in the conference in scoring at 17.5 points per contest.
