Championship Central page."This will be only the second women's meet with our entire team together due to a lot of different thing," said head coach
Jamie Platt. "Injury, illness, people haven't been in the pool all together at the same time. The last few weeks have been great because we have been together. We have big splash athletes that we know are going to be there. Our divers we know are going to be there. I expect to have some jaw dropping performances by our younger team members. It's going to be a lot of fun."
FREESTYLE Sophomore
Emma Smith is the No. 2 seed in the 1650 yard freestyle (16:49.84) after winning the event last year and the No. 3 seed for the 500-yard event (4:55.53).
Junior Eva Marie Østerhus enters the event seeded eighth (5:00.18).Junior Kaitlyn Hay is seeded sixth in the 100-yard freestyle event (51.46) and eighth in the 200-yard event (1:52.19. Smith also is seeded in the 200 coming in at 15
th (1:53.50).
Freshman
Olivia DiStefano is seeded fourth in the 50 yard freestyle race with a time of 23.72. Hay is seeded 13
th after reaching the consolation finals last season.
INDIVIDUAL MEDLEYØsterhus is seeded eighth for the 400 yard IM with a time of 4:26.38. She also is seeded in the 200 yard at 13
th (2:07.38). Smith is seeded 10
th for the 400 yard event (4:26.51).
BACKSTROKEDiStefano is seeded third in the 100 yard backstroke with a seed time of 56.46. Sophomore
Natalie Simunek is seeded 19
th in the 200 yard with a time of 2:07.50.
DIVINGKelly Quinn and
Sydney Szopo are in the top ten seeds of both the one meter and three meter diving events. Quinn is seeded fifth in both events while Szopo is seeded ninth in the three meter and 10
th in the one meter. Last year Szopo was the top performer at both events finishing seventh in the three meter and ninth in the one meter.
BUTTERFLYØsterhus is seeded third in the 200 yard butterfly event with a seed time of 2:03.47.RELAYSThe 200-yard medley relay team comes in 10th (1:47.07).
The 800-yard freestyle relay is seeded fourth (7:30.96) and return Smith, Hay, and Kearns from the fifth place team last season.
La Salle's 200-yard freestyle relay is the seventh seed (1:36.26).
The 400-yard medley relay team enters the event seeded seventh with a 3:52.00.
The 400-yard freestyle relay squad is seeded fourth (3:28.02).
