GENEVA, Ohio - The La Salle men's 400 yard medley relay topped the field and senior
Johan Roth took silver in the 100 breaststroke and sophomore
Jakub Bartosiewicz took bronze in the 100 butterfly on day three of the Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships.

Bartosiewicz and Roth were joined by sophomore
Fabian Bergman and junior
Cameron Fadley on the relay team that topped the field with a time of 3:16.11. The Explorers touched the wall .25 seconds ahead of the next nearest team. Bergman got the Explorers out fast as they had the lead after the first stroke. Bartosiewicz brought the Explorers home as he made up a gap of .32 seconds in the final leg to give La Salle the gold.

"We had a great night in the pool and on the boards with many finalists," said head coach
Jamie Platt. "The men's 400 medley is exactly how every team wants to end a session. Nothing is better than watching four guys coming together and achieving gold in record breaking fashion."

Bartosiewicz also took bronze in the 100 yard butterfly thanks to a time of 48.64 in the finals. The sophomore was just .92 seconds off second place in the event. Teammate Fadley was next to the wall with a time of 48.65, just one hundredth of a second behind his teammate. Junior
Strahinja Stankovic also made the finals and he touched in 15
th place thanks to a time of 50.29.

Roth grabbed silver in the 100 yard breaststroke thanks to a time of 54.59 seconds, which also was good for an NCAA "B" Qualifying time. Sophomore Dimtrije Mladenovic touched in sixth place with a time of 55.39 seconds, also a "B" Qualifying time. The sophomore was just .56 seconds off of the medal stand.

Bergman finished in fifth place in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 48.79 seconds. Bergman was just .61 seconds out of third place in the finals. Junior
Jerry Gravel took tenth place with a 49.83 second time, just .28 seconds off the top time in the consolation finals.

Justin Hughes took 10
th place with a time of 1:41.06 in the 200 yard freestyle consolation finals.

Sophomore
Dylan Yurasits finished in sixth place in the three meter dive with a final score of 280.2 in the finals. Teammate
CJ Gimpel was close behind in seventh with 273.25 points as his score. Sophomore
Chase Ott finished in ninth as he topped the consolation finals with a score of 258.10.
La Salle sits in third place thanks to 342.5 points heading into the final day of the championships. The Explorers are just 1.5 points behind St. Bonaventure who are in second place.Â
