NEW HAVEN, Ct.- La Salle had a pair of event victories on the second day of the Yale Giegengack Invitational.

Sophomore
Justin Guerre tied the school record by running a 6.90 second 60 meter in the finals of the event to take home first place by .004 seconds. Guerre qualified for the finals thanks to a 7.02 second time in the 17 man field which was the third fastest qualifying time.

Sophomore
Chris Sanders ran a time of 1:52.12 to top the 21 man field in the 800 meter run. Sanders was 1.83 seconds clear of the field in the event. Sophomore
Joseph Leconey crossed in seventh place with a time of 1:58.20. Freshman
Stefan Sutton (11
th place, 1:59.86), sophomore
Gregory Dix (16
th place, 2:02.60), and sophomore
Collin Pierlott (18
th, 2:03.51) also ran in the event for the Explorers.

Sophomore
Bradley Heuer had the best finish of five Explorers in the mile run. Heuer crossed in third place of the 19 man field thanks to a time of 4:12.35. Senior
Nick Libbi was close behind in fourth place with a time of 4:12.44. Sophomore
Andrew Gorsuch and junior
David Ozarowski finished in seventh and eighth with times of 4:16.23 and 4:16.67 respectively. Sophomore Nicholas Smart ran a 4:32.28 in the event.

Zakiyy Williams used a leap of 13.75m for second place in the triple jump field. Zakiyy was .72m behind the winner in the nine man field.

Chris Berry ran an 8:33.70 time in the 3000 meter run for fourth place out of 14 entries. Junior
Ryan Magnus finished in 13
th with a time of 9:03.30.

Senior
Brendan Robertson had the best finish of four Explorers in the 1000 meter run. Robertson crossed in sixth place with a time of 2:31.48. Junior
Stephen Lewandowski was next across in seventh place with a time of 2:31.81. Juniors
Dan Rosenblatt (11
th place, 2:34.85) and
Trent Mangold (13
th, 2:41.04) also ran for La Salle.

Five Explorers ran in the 500 meter dash field. Freshman Akil Isaiah crossed in tenth place with a time of 1:07.54. Sophomore
Michael Hagan was next to cross in 13
th place with a time of 1:08.76. Freshman
Quinn Sullivan finished in 17
th place with a time of 1:10.22. Juniors
Dallas Penny and
Nick Della Vecchia crossed in 19
th and 20
