DAVIDSON, N.C. – The La Salle men's basketball team returns to the road as it heads to North Carolina to take on Davidson on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.

DavidsonLast Time OutDespite entering halftime with things even at 29-29, Rhode Island used 50 second half points to put away La Salle on Saturday at Tom Gola Arena by a final score of 79-62. The Rams shot 65% from the field in the second half to fuel their strong second half. Four of five La Salle Starters finished in double digits on the evening with
Cleon Roberts and
Johnnie Shuler tying for a team-high with 15 points apiece.
Amar Stukes finished with 12 points, his second consecutive game in double figures.
Last Time vs. DavidsonLa Salle ended its 2014-15 season with a narrow, 67-66, loss to Davidson in the Atlantic 10 Quarterfinals. Davidson's Tytler Kalinoski hit a buzzer-beater to advance the Wildcats and erase a 66-65 lead that the Explorers held with just 16 seconds remaining. La Salle's seniors finished with 54 of the team's 66 points including a career-high for
Steve Zack in his final game as an Explorer.
La Salle-Davidson ConnectionsDusan Kovacevic a freshman for the Wildcats and
Dusan Majstorovic both hail from Novi Sad, Serbia. Novi Sad is the second largest city in Serbia with a population of 250,439 as of 2011.
Freshman Kamau Faines from Davidson and
Karl Harris of La Salle are both Chicago natives who went to high school just seven miles apart in Chicago.
Oskar Michelsen and
Yevgen Sakhniuk both participated in the 2014 U-20 European B Championships. Michelsen was on the Finland national team while Sakhniuk was a member of the Ukraine squad.
Will Magarity and
B.J. Johnson squared off at prior schools as Johnson's Syracuse Orange topped Magarity's Boston College twice during the 2014-15 season. The second game of the two saw Johnson go for 12 points in the 70-56 win.
Scouting the Explorers•
Jordan Price is one of seven players in the nation to average at least 19.0 ppg., 5.0 rpg. and 3.0 apg.

Amar Stukes had a career-high 17 points vs. VCU on Wednesday. He is averaging 14.5 ppg. in his last two games.

Johnnie Shuler is ranked seventh nationally in minutes per game (37.8) and is second in the A-10. La Salle has three players in the top 20 nationally, including
Cleon Roberts (37.1) and
Jordan Price (37.0).

Rohan Brown is 7-for-7 from the field since returning from a knee injury on January 24 vs. Saint Joseph's.
• This is just the fourth ever meeting between La Salle and Davidson after the Wildcats joined the A-10 prior to last season. This is also the Explorers first ever visit to Davidson and Belk Arena.
Scouting the Wildcats• Davidson is 30-2 in their last 32 home games dating back to 2013-14 with the only losses coming to VCU this season and to St. Bonaventure last season.
• Jack Gibbs leads Davidson and is ranked third in the nation as he averages 25.5 points per game. Gibbs has scored at least 40 points three times this season and has hit the 30 point mark seven times.
• Peyton Aldridge (14.9) and Brian Sullivan (14.2) are also averaging double figures for the Wildcats.
• The Wildcats rank 10
th in 3-point field goals per game (10.0) and 11
th nationally in assist-turnover ratio at 1.56.
