PHILADELPHIA – La Salle women's rowing competed against city rivals Drexel and Villanova in a regatta held on the Schuylkill river on Saturday.
La Salle's Varsity 8, Freshman/Novice 8 A and Freshman/Novice 8 B boats competed on the day.
The Varsity 8—comprised of
Kaitlyn Reyes (cox),
Jessica Lindsay,
Amanda Ryan,
Savannah Fader,
Danielle Deley,
Emily Finkbinder,
Emily Fithian,
Maura McKenna and
Cora Jones—finished third with a time of 7:42.8.
The Varsity 4 B finished second in its heat, edging out the Varsity 4 A boat by just over six seconds.
Manning the Varsity 4 B was
Emma Madera (cox),
Maura McKenna,
Emily Finkbinder,
Erika Gonzalez, and
Sofia Iaconelli.
The Varsity 4 A boat was comprised of
Kaitlyn Reyes (cox),
Amanda Ryan,
Savannah Fader,
Danielle Deley, and
Jessica Lindsay.
The team returns to the Schuylkill river to compete in the Murphy Cup on Saturday, March 26.
