Game Notes
La Salle | Saint Louis

Last Time Out
Jordan Price fueled the Explorers offense with a game-high 24 points as La Salle grabbed a 76-68 win over George Mason. La Salle committed just four turnovers in the game, their lowest total since December 2013 against Wagner where they turned the ball over three times on their way to an 80-54 win. Sophomore Amar Stukes filled up the stat sheet with 12 points, six rebounds, six assists, and three steals. Cleon Roberts scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half and went 5-of-6 from the charity stripe to help close out the game.

Last Time Against Saint Louis
Saint Louis erased a five point Explorers lead late in the second half to force the game to overtime that the Billikens ultimately won 68-64 in February of last season at Chaifetz Arena.  Jordan Price led the way with 22 points while Steve Zack scored 16 of his own. Price hit a pair of free throws with 25 seconds left in regulation to force the game to OT, but the hosts outscored La Salle 10-6 in the extra period on their way to the win. The Billikens own an all-time record of 12-6 against the Explorers.

La Salle-Saint Louis Connections
Saint Louis assistant coach Calbert Cheaney played 13 years in the NBA and had a pair of teammates who played their college basketball at La Salle. Cheaney was the primary shooting guard between 1995 and 1999 for the Wizards and his backup for those seasons was Tim Legler a 1998 La Salle grad. Also in Washington, Cheaney played besides Doug Overton from 1993 to 1995 on the Bullets. In 1994-95 Overton made 20 starts at point guard with Cheaney playing besides him in the backcourt.

Miles Reynolds went to high school in Chicago at Whitney Young. In 2014 during his senior year he beat Karl Harris and De La Salle 73-60 in the Class 4A Regional Finals. Reynolds went for 21 with Harris scoring 11. Also on that Whitney Young team was 76ers center Jahlil Okafor who scored a game-high 22 points.

Ash Yacoubou started his college career at Villanova spending two seasons with the Wildcats. La Salle topped Yacoubou and Nova, 77-74, in 2012 at Tom Gola Arena. Yacoubou had 2 points and three boards and Rohan Brown saw six minutes off the bench La Salle finishing with two points.

Scouting the Explorers
• La Salle is 6-3 when scoring at least 70 points this season.

Jordan Price scored his 500th point of the season against George Mason and now has 510 on the year. This is the 57th time an Explorer has reached 500 points in a season and Price is the 18th player to reach that plateau multiple times.

• Amar Stukes has come on strong over the past eight games. He is averaging 9.0 points and shooting 12-for-24 (.500) from three-point range during that stretch.

• Jordan Price leads the A-10 and is ranked 10th nationally in minutes per game (37.5).  He has played all 40 minutes 11 times this season. La Salle has two players in the top 25 nationally in minutes per game in the nation (Price and Cleon Roberts).

• Jordan Price leads the Big 5 in scoring and is second in the Atlantic 10 (18.9 ppg.).

• Cleon Roberts is fourth in the A-10 in steals per game (1.96 spg).

Scouting the Billikens
• Ash Yacoubou leads Saint Louis in both scoring (11.7 ppg) and rebounding (5.9 rpg). He would be the first Billiken guard to lead the team in scoring and rebounding for a season since Maurice Jeffers in 2000-01.

•Freshman Jermaine Bishop has earned A-10 Rookie of the Week three times and started the last 12 games averaging 11.7 ppg in conference tilts.

• Mike Crawford is second on the Billikens with 10.3 ppg and has been the team's largest thread from three-point range this season with 40 threes on the year.

• Reggie Agbeko leads Saint Louis in field-goal percentage (.553) and is second with 5.5 rpg.

• Miles Reynolds scores 8.7 ppg and leads the team in assists (72) and steals (29).
