Scouting the Explorers
-La Salle didn't play this week following a home series with Fordham over the weekend.
-Freshman
Brian Tagoe was named Co-Rookie of the Week in the Atlantic 10 and Player of the Week in the Big 5 after hitting .714 (10-for-14) with four runs scored, two stolen bases and an RBI in four games last week.
-
Joey Ravert homered in Friday's 16-4 win, marking the third time this season the senior has homered in a game he also started on the mound. The Explorers are 2-1 in those games.
-La Salle's 16-4 win over Fordham brought a season-high in runs scored and hits (19).
Scouting the Rams
-VCU is coming off midweek wins over Norfolk State and William & Mary after taking the series finale at Rhode Island on Sunday to avoid a sweep.
-The Rams collected a season-high 19 hits at W&M, thanks in part to four-hit performances from Haiden Lamb and Matt Davis. In total, seven of the nine starters in the lineup produced a hit.
-VCU has the third lowest team ERA (4.29) in the Atlantic 10, behind St. Bonaventure (2.30) and Fordham (4.21)
-VCU closer Sam Donko has 12 saves, just two saves shy from tying Daniel Concepcion's school record of 14 saves (2015).
