CHESTER, Pa./PRINCETON, N.J./CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.- The La Salle men's track and field team turned in strong performances at a trio of meets on Saturday.

At the UVA Challenge in Charlottesville both junior
Stephen Lewandowski and senior
Ian Barnhill ran solid times.
Â
Lewandowski crossed in 35
th place out of an 80 man field in the 1500m thanks to a time of 3:48.64. Barnhill ran a time of 30:49.60 in the 10000m for a 22
nd place finish.

At the Larry Ellis Invite hosted by Princeton three Explorers competed in a trio of events.

Sophomore
Justin Guerre ran a 21.56 second time in the 200m to finish fourth overall in the 48 man field.

Freshman
Zakiyy Williams used a 14.60m distance in the triple jump to also finish fourth out of 16 competitors.

Collin Pierlott crossed in 40
th place in the 800m thanks to a time of 1:57.79.

Sophomore
Kenneth Worthington won the high jump at the Widener Invite thanks to a 1.98m height to top the 12 man field.

A trio of Explorers ran in the 800m with sophomore
Joseph Leconey having the best finish of the group. Leconey crossed in 1:58.79 for 14
th place in the 82 man field. Freshman
Stefan Sutton was next across in 2:00.29 for 27
th place while junior
Cris Hunter finished in 61
st place with a time of 2:05.96.

Michael Hagan and junior
Nick Della Vecchia finished back-to-back in the 400m hurdles. Hagan crossed in 12
th place with a time of 58.72 seconds while Della Vecchia was close behind in 13
th place at 58.91 seconds.

Senior Tim Flanagan finished in 63
rd place out of 102 entries in the 1500m thanks to a time of 4:20.45.
