PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle baseball team hosts the Fordham Rams for a three-game set beginning Friday afternoon at Hank DeVincent Field.

Scouting the Explorers

-The Explorers are coming off a 4-2 win at Delaware State on Wednesday afternoon, completing a sweep of the home-and-home series with the Hornets.  
 
-Sophomore Greg Paprocki picked up his first career win with 4.2 innings against DSU, allowing two runs (one earned) while striking out six Hornets.
 
-Tom Fazzini earned his sixth save with a scoreless 9th inning in Wednesday's win, and ranks third in the league in saves behind VCU's Sam Donko (11) and George Washington's Eddie Muhl (seven).
 
-Joey Ravert, La Salle's starter for the opener, currently ranks ninth in the Atlantic 10 with 34 strikeouts.
 
-Saturday starter Jordan Meyer is coming off an eight-inning complete game against George Washington last week. The righty limited the Colonials to two runs while scattering eight hits and a walk.   
 
Scouting the Rams
-Fordham will look to rebound from a 5-0 loss at Rutgers on Wednesday afternoon. The Rams took two out of three from the Richmond Spiders at home over the weekend to open A-10 play.
 
-As a staff, Fordham has the second lowest team ERA (4.12) and is second among A-10 teams with 189 strikeouts through 29 games.
 
-Friday's starter Kirk Haynes Jr. leads the Atlantic 10 with an opponent batting average of .158, and is second with a 1.55 ERA through 40.2 innings.
 
-Infielder Joseph Runco has stolen 11 bases on the season, which is good for second in the league. The senior is hitting .281 (32-for-114) and is tied with Ryan McNally for the team-lead in RBI with 18.
