PHILADELPHIA – La Salle's women's varsity eight and men's second varsity eight each competed in the semifinal rounds of the 2016 Dad Vail Regatta, finishing fifth and sixth in their heats, respectively.
 
For the women, Kaitlyn Reyes(Cox), Jessica Lindsay, Amanda Ryan, Savannah Fader, Danielle Deley, Maura McKenna, Emily Finkbinder, Cora Jones and Sofia Iaconelli clocked a time of 7:09.574, edging out Marquette by less than a tenth of a second.   It marked the first time in over a decade that the women advanced to the semifinal heat of the Dad Vail Regatta, finishing twelfth overall.
 
The men's second varsity eight boat finished sixth in their semifinal heat, and eleventh overall, with at time of 6:43.329.  The boat was comprised of Emily Giegerich(Cox), Kyle Adams, Evan Horvath, Scott Dunn, Matt Cardin, Nick McGloin, Bob Noga, Michael Gormley and Waleed Omar.
