PHILADELPHIA - La Salle senior rowers Cora Jones and Maura McKenna have been named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area team, it was announced today following voting by the region's sports information directors.

Both Explorers were members of the varsity eight that finished fifth in its heat at A-10s and fourth in the grand final at the Kerry Cupp. La Salle also finished tenth out of 30 boats at the Varsity 4 of the Murphy Cup.

Jones is a elementary education major with a 3.75 grade point average. McKenna is also a elementary & special education major with a 3.81 grade point average.
