LOCK HAVEN, PA- The La Salle field hockey team traveled to Lock Haven on Friday afternoon to face the Bald Eagles to open Atlantic 10 play. The Explorers grabbed the team's first conference win over the Bald Eagles 1-0.
The first half of play went entirely scoreless, as La Salle (3-3, 1-0 A-10) held their own against Lock Haven (4-2, 0-1 A-10). The Bald Eagles were able to tally only two shots on goal, while the Explorers recorded one shot on goal. La Salle goalie
Rachel Hartman posted two saves in the first half.
La Salle opened the second half with the only goal of the game at 37:05 from senior
Devin Muracco, her second of the season. Muracco took a hard shot from the right to send the ball into the cage through Lock Haven goalie Paige Stuppy's watch. Â

Rachel Hartman fended off Lock Haven attempts on goal with one save in the second half and three total in the shutout. Hartman posted her first shutout of the season for the Explorers.Â
The Explorers will return to action on Sunday at 12:00 PM when they play at St. Joseph's to wrap up the weekend.Â
