PHILADELPHIA -- The La Salle Men's Soccer team (5-2) suffered its first road defeat on Saturday night at the hands of the Penn Quakers (1-1-3) in double overtime of a Soccer Six match at Rhodes Field. The game was scoreless until the 108th minute when the home team found the back of the net on a cross pass that was touched in.

La Salle goalkeeper Mike Kirk faced 21 shots including 11 that were on goal, saving a career-high 10 shots to continue his standout season. He and the Explorers also withstood eight corner opportunities.

Johnny Ciarlante, Dom Fullano, and Tony Daniele each registered a shot on goal. 

Rob Irvine's team continues its road stretch with a game at Lafayette on Tuesday at 7:00 PM before returning home to wrap up its early season non-conference schedule against UMBC on Saturday at McCarthy Stadium.
