PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The La Salle Men's Soccer team (5-4) fell, 2-1, in overtime to a very talented UMBC (4-1-3) squad under the lights of McCarthy Stadium on Saturday night.
The Retrievers set the tone with a goal at the 34 minute mark of the match, but
Colman Kennedy was able to counter with the equalizer early into the second half on a nice shot over the wall on a free kick. Kennedy now has four goals this season, including three in the last four games.Â
The Explorers did a nice job attacking the net, displayed by their 13 shots (seven of which were on goal).Â
In net,
Mike Kirk had anothre great performance, saving seven shots to keep the score tight.

Rob Irvine's team has a week's rest before hosting Saint Louis in La Salle' first Atlantic 10 game of the season on Saturday at McCarthy Stadium. The game is set to begin at 7:00 PM.Â
