RICHMOND, Va. - The La Salle University men's basketball team will be in search of its sixth straight victory in league play on Sunday, Jan. 22, as the Explorers (11-5, 5-1 Atlantic 10) travel south for a matchup with VCU (14-5, 4-2 A10). The game will air live nationally on NBC Sports Network beginning at 2:00 p.m.

NEWS & NOTES
•The Explorers put together a superb offensive performance in a 91-83 win over Davidson on Thursday evening.
•Senior Jordan Price made nine of his 14 field-goal attempts and finished with 29 points to combat Davidson's duo of Peyton Aldridge (33 points) and Jack Gibbs (25).
•Over their recent five-game winning streak, the Explorers are averaging 84.0 points per game and shooting 52.0 percent from the floor.
•Additionally, La Salle is ripping the nets at a 44.7 percent clip from three-point range and is hitting an impressive 83.2 percent of its free throws.
•Four players are averaging in double figures for the Explorers over the streak, led by Price's 19.2 points per game. The 6-5 guard is shooting 58.6 percent overall and 55.6 percent from deep over the span.
•The Explorers are also winning the battle on the boards, outrebounding their opponents by a 34-29 margin on average over the last five games.
•Junior Demetrius Henry has been a key part of that, pulling down 7.5 boards over the last five games including an average of 3.0 offensive rebounds per contest.
•La Salle had a 16-10 advantage in free throw attempts against Davidson and is a perfect 10-0 when attempting more free throws than its opponent this year.

ALL-TIME SERIES
•After dropping the first three games of the all-time series, La Salle has split the last four with the Rams but do trail the all-time series, 5-2.
•Two of those contests have gone into double overtime, including a 74-69 win on Feb. 14, 2015.
•The Explorers have won each of the last two games at the Siegel Center.
•On that last trip to VCU, Jordan Price scored 34 points and grabbed 18 rebounds in the 2OT victory.

SCOUTING VCU
•The Rams dropped an overtime decision on the road to Fordham on Wednesday and currently stand 14-5 overall and 4-2 in the A10.
•VCU is second in the league in scoring defense at 66.1 points allowed per contest.
•Three players are averaging double figures in scoring, led by guard JeQuan Lewis at 14.8 ppg. 
•Justin Tillman paces the squad in rebounding at 7.5 rpg and also averages 11.4 ppg on 57.9% shooting.

PRICE IS RIGHT
•Senior Jordan Price has put together an impressive start to his senior campaign.
•The 6-5 guard, who was recently named the Big 5 Player of the Week this past Monday, began the year with 1,164 points, the fourth-most by a La Salle player through two seasons with the program.
•The second-leading scorer on the team at 17.8 ppg, Price is shooting a career-best 46.8% from the field, up from 39.0% a season ago.
•Against Davidson, he scored a season-high 29 points on 9-of-14 from the field and is averaging 26.0 points on 72.7% shooting.
•Price ranks 24th all-time in scoring at La Salle and recently passed Larry Cannon, who had his La Salle jersey retired on Dec. 6, on the list.
