Women’s Basketball Hosts Temple in Home Opener on Wednesday

Scouting the Explorers

-La Salle is looking to rebound from a pair of losses last week, falling on the road at American on Monday before a loss at Drexel on Thursday.
 
-La Salle is at home for three of their four Big 5 games this season, including Wednesday's matchup with Temple. The Explorers host Penn on Nov. 29 and Villanova on Dec. 20 before playing at Saint Joseph's on February 17.
 
-Adreana Miller scored 20 points in her season debut at American last Monday, going 7-for-11 from the field and 5-for-6 from the foul line.
 
-Amy Griffin is leading the Atlantic 10 with 3.0 blocks per game while the Explorers are third with 4.3 blocks per game as a team.  
 
-Griffin is also tied for fourth in the A-10 in scoring with 16.3 points per game this season. The senior opened the season with 30 points at Lafayette.
 
-The Explorers were 8-7 at Tom Gola Arena last season.
 
Scouting the Owls
-Temple won their last two games to get off to a 3-1 start. The Owls defeated Wagner on Thursday and Iona on Sunday to rebound from a loss to Rutgers on Monday.
 
-Temple's Tanaya Atkinson was named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Monday after averaging 24.0 points and 11.7 rebounds in three games last week. The senior tied a career high with 30 points at Rutgers.
 
-Following Wednesday's game at La Salle, the Owls will be home for their next seven games. TU will not be on the road again until a December 30 tip at UCF.
 
-Freshman Mia Davis averages 11.3 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.
 
-As a team, Temple shoots 42.9% from the field and 27.4% from three.
