PHILADELPHIA - The women's swimming and diving team fell to Penn on the road Tuesday, 171-101.
Freshman Lilly Quinn stood out for the Explorers. She picked up her first collegiate win in the 200 IM, finishing in 2:18.40. In the 200 fly, Quinn placed fourth. Quinn touched the wall in 2:23.41. Later in the meet, she placed fourth in the 200 back.
Collin Kessinger gave La Salle its second win of the night with a 1:02.04 in the 100 fly.
Senior diver Sydney Szopo saw success, winning the one meter dive with a score of 241.65. Later on, she placed third in the three meter dive.
Szopo's classmate Hannah Elliott finished third in the 100 back, clocking in at 1:02.38, and third in the 100 free (55.21 seconds).Â
Carrie Horan was second in the 100 breast, finishing in 1:08.69.
The women wrapped up the meet with a win in the 400 free relay as Elliott, Olivia DiStefano, Maddy Koelsch, and Rory Kearns placed first in a time of 3:39.90.
The swimming and diving team will now go on a hiatus from action until the spring semester.
